  • Retired US General Paul E. Vallely tells FRANCE 24's Armen Georgian why he believes it's still possible to cut a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin over Syria and unite Syrian political forces as part of a strategy to end the war. Vallely was involved in vetting Free Syrian Army fighters and has travelled to Syria numerous times during the conflict there.
