'Putin is deadly serious about attacking US democracy'
Edité par France 24
Speaking to FRANCE 24's Marc Perelman, former US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken claims he saw clear evidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin was bent on sowing doubts about the US political system through a series of cyberattacks.
Blinken also argues that by attacking the investigation by special prosecutor Robert Mueller and firing FBI director James Comey, President Trump is making things worse because this fuels suspicion that he has something to hide.
Finally, he regrets that the new president is undoing several key Obama-era achievements such as the Paris climate deal or the thaw in relations with Cuba.
