  • David Michael Crane, a former chief prosecutor at the Special Court for Sierra Leone and a law professor at Syracuse University, is one of the co-authors of a report on the treatment of Syrian prisoners. Along with two other prominent lawyers, he alleges that at least 11,000 detainees have been tortured and killed while in the custody of the Assad regime's security forces.
